Cordless, direct hot shoes. Can be attached to, and detached from the camera by turning the clamping knob, permitting smooth camera handling when the flash is not used. | With the OM-1 and OM-2, the FP/X Flash Selector must be set to X for
electronic flash units. With the OM-1n and OM-2n, once the Accessory Shoe 4 is attached, X synchronization is automatically achieved on the X contact of the Shoe, independently of the position of the FP/X Flash Selector. The arrows labelled 'Fix' (Accessory Shoe 1 and Accessory Shoe 2) or 'Lock' (Accessory Shoe 3 and Accessory Shoe 4) indicate the direction in which the clamping knob must be turned to attach the Accessory Shoe. On Accessory Shoe 4, this direction is opposite to the other three models. No excessive force must be used when attaching an Accessory Shoe once resistence is felt. No excessive force must be used on the flash when it is attached to or detached from an Accessory Shoe, or while it is attached on an Accessory Shoe. |
