Notes - Related Units |
A teleconverter that multiplies the focal length of the main lens by a
factor of 2, while reducing the effective lens speed by two stops. This converter can be used with the following lenses: 1) 50-250mm/F5 zoom 2) 100mm/F2.8 3) 135mm/F2.8 4) 135mm/F3.5 5) 200mm/F4 6) 200mm/F5 7) 100-200mm/F5 zoom These lenses will effectively be converted into: 1) 100-500mm/F10 zoom 2) 200mm/F5.6 3) 270mm/F5.6 4) 270mm/F7 5) 400mm/F8 6) 400mm/F10 7) 200-400mm/F10 zoom |
Comfortable in all circumstances where carrying an extra telephoto or
super telephoto lens is not practible. The converter costs much less than any of the (super) telephoto lenses it can replace. |
Trying to use this converter in combination with other lenses than those
named under 'Characteristics', specially lenses with protruding rear elements, may
seriously damage both the lens and the converter. When focusing screens with a split image and / or microprisms are used, the centre of the viewfinder may darken. In this case focusing must be done on the matte ground surface.
Although the 2X-A Teleconverter is unbeatable for convenience, when it
comes to sharpness there is no substitute for a telephoto lens of the
specific focal length. |
