A large aperture super telephoto with a super bright F2.8. An extremely powerful lens for dim subjects, especially in areas such as indoor sports or theatre, where fast shutter speeds are essential. The provision of two lens elements of special low dispersion glass, and another of extraordinary partial dispersion glass successfully cuts chromatic aberrations to virtual insignificant proportions. Image rendition is superb, with fantastic contrast and minimal colour separation at all distances from extreme close-ups to infinity. The lens features inner focusing, makes focusing very fast. The Olympus developed close focus aberration correction mechanism guarantees high level image quality at all subject distances. |
